This is why our Christmas cards are always the first to arrive
- Girlfriend: A just got back from Tuscany and Florence.
- Me: Hah. I bet he ate a crapload.
- Girlfriend: Apparently it was a very cultured trip. B (his wife) is very into architecture - she really liked that book I sent her.
- Me: What book?
- Girlfriend: I sent them a book on Ai Wei Wei's pieces around Europe. Figured she'd be interested. Wanted to send it while I could still make use of the free internal mail anyway.
- Me: Hah. Did A get anything in the care package?
- Girlfriend: *indignant* of course! I sent him one last batch of those spices too. Christmas is coming soon after all.
- Me: ...wait. Did you just say Christmas is coming soon?
- Girlfriend: yah!
- Me: it's June.
